Cordio Medical’s flagship application, the HearO™, was specifically developed for monitoring the status of Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) in patients with fluid management issues and pulmonary edema. CHF is the fastest growing chronic condition in the world. Managing CHF patients’ treatment and keeping them stable requires frequent and accurate fluid level monitoring.
Recording of the patient’s speech daily allows us to build a baseline for comparison, by accumulating data over time. The HearO™, then uploads the current audio file to a cloud server where it is analyzed for changes in certain speech and voice parameters. The output of such processing is a proprietary and unique database of speech and voice parameters.
A predictive model is then applied, relative to the patient’s baseline, to predict whether the patient is experiencing fluid accumulation in the lungs. If indeed this is the case, the Cordio system will generate an alarm, giving the patient’s physician enough time to adjust the treatment and prevent hospitalization.
